Family Foundations of Iowa: Family Foundations of Iowa is one of the most revered and influential Christian Counseling and Psychological Services centers in eastern Iowa and west-central Illinois. Together we will be offering depression awareness and screening events to area corporations and work places in order to promote mental health information and services. The Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program (YRSPP) of Eastern Iowa is a local Chapter of the YRSPP founded in Denver, CO in 1994. The goal of the YRSPP is to educate teens and adults on the warning signs of depression and suicide. A portion of the funds donated to the MJL Foundation through sponsorships and walker registrations will go directly to the cost of materials to run the program such as yellow ribbon cards, videos, and informational brochures for students and schools.
